The Big Freeze

Long time since the last post and lots has happened in the interim. Suffice it to say that keeping up with a website hasn’t been at the top of the priority list. Hopefully that is about to change.

Christmas Day finds us celebrating with family, colds all around, and temperatures the coldest I’ve ever experienced in this part of Alabama. Overnight low temperature of 15°F with accompanying wind felt brutal, but the heat stayed on, pipes didn’t burst, and animals seemed not to mind. A heat lamp in the greenhouse kept the seedlings and grapefruit trees from freezing, but not sure the peas, lettuce, turnips and brassicas in the hoophouse have survived. Will know in a few days.

Thankful for much this Christmas, and this year. Despite many challenges, there have been many successes and most of all, God is still faithful. This year has brought a renewed motivation to steward well all that is in my care, far as the curse is found, declaring the rule and reign of Christ the king, in His name, and for His Glory. Amen.
